  Out of Control

The song was born in Spanish, ‘Confusion’.      I was putting on my make up ready to go to work when I heard Phil playing some cords on his acoustic guitar. I started humming the melody and singing some words in Spanish. 3 minutes of dedication and the song was ready. We put it together as demo and kept it in a box for 8 years then I found it again, listened to it a bunch of times and then wrote this new arrangement.  It sounded so good in Spanish that I decided to write the English version and all that came to my mind was ‘Out of Control’.  This song is what motivated me to write the whole album ‘Confusion’.

  Babe Come On

Tired of gossip and bad critics I wrote a song that actually could describe who I am. I came home tired from work one night after hearing some crappy stories about me. People were making comments about me and I got to thinking how short life was and what a waste of time it was to focus on what goes on in everyone else’s life.

  The One

The song was born with a melody. I was driving my car at 2am and I was humming melodies, I really liked this one so I recorded it straight away on my phone. I worked on the words for about a week and then changed them about a thousand times. It’s inspired by and written to the one I love. Later, I decided to record the Spanish version which by the way turned out to be really nice too.

  Fortune Teller

A friend of mine was organizing an event in her shop. She has this funky place where she sells gypsy stuff. She called me over cos she wanted to hire a fortune teller for her event. I was a talent broker at the time. I ended up sending her a card reader and a palm reader. I was a bit sceptic about the subject so out of curiosity I asked the palm reader to give me heads up of what was going to happen for me....and so she did, I was so surprised with her story that I said “there u go girl! you just got yourself another song”!

  Hard to Be your Woman

Sitting in my living room with my laptop on my legs, I started typing words like crazy... thinking how sad it must be not being able to be with the person you love and all those complicated relationships where they are so close to you but at the same time so far. I picked up my guitar and just started playing and it all came together. The Spanish version I wrote while we were recording the guitars for the demos to the English one.

  It's Silly

It’s one of those crazy nonsense songs that it only has sense for the one that writes it. It’s about how hypocritical we are and we get involved in somebody else’s problems rather than taking care of our own. One day while driving my car I started singing the melody out really loud. The next day I added non sense words to it and we put the band together to jam following the lead of the melody. We got classic rock and I loved it!

  Femtosecond

Facebook... it got us all! A friend posted on his status what is a femtosecond? and I thought  how cool would it be if I could make people wonder through a song, what is actually smaller than a nanosecond.
